Energy Efficiency
As part of our ongoing efforts to reduce energy consumption,
we've implemented energy-saving practices such as turning off the lights
and air conditioning during lunch breaks.
Additionally, we're exploring ways to promote responsible electricity
usage among our employees and to raise awareness about the issue.
Emissions Management
At JMM and JML, we are committed to transparency and environmental responsibility. We assess and disclose our greenhouse gas emissions through three categories: Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3. This allows us to manage our environmental impact efficiently.
- Scope 1 GHG Emissions - Comes directly from greenhouse gases produced by JMM and JML's use of tankers and offshore support vessels (OSVs)
- Scope 2 GHG Emissions - Recorded data on JMM and JML's office energy consumption
- Scope 3 GHG Emission - Only cover the estimated emissions from onshore employee travel to work.
Effluents and Waste Management
JMM and JML physically monitor and sample all effluent and waste
generated by their vessels and inspect any suspected leaks. Preventive
measures are identified and controls are implemented as necessary to
prevent pollution and environmental hazards.
For oil management,
JML and JMM use third party contractors to dispose od the waste
properly.
Two (2) JMM vessles are practising waste segregation and in the future we plan to increase the number of vessels implmenting this practice through awareness sessions.
Water Management
Responsible water management is a key component of the Group's sustainability efforts. During the reporting period, the water consumption of our JM and JML offices was recorded at 1,361 tonnes. By monitoring and optimizing water use, the Group aims to reduce its impact on local water resources and contribute to sustainable water management.
