In Malaysia, fire incidents happen more often than you think. According to the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia, there were over 27,000 fire incidents in 2019, which caused 274 deaths and over RM600 million in property damages. Jasa Merin has recently attended half day training at Balai Bomba Taman Tun Dr Ismail in order to enhance the staff awareness on importance of fire safety. The trainer, Pegawai Bomba Kanan II , Tuan Nor Faizal Bin Mohd Noor started the presentation on the fire safety and followed by demonstration on how to put out the fire. We learned necessary skills of fire safety, prevention and risk assessment. This course provides awareness of the danger of fire, guidance in the use of extinguishers and how to carry out the fire routine procedures.
